As a Senior Software Engineer of Test Automation, you will contribute to shaping the technology roadmap and advancing Walmart’s mission to provide value and quality at scale. The team leverages expertise in software development, solution design, DevOps, and testing to build reliable products that meet business and technical requirements while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What you'll do:

• Design and develop automated test frameworks for embedded and TV systems that communicate with cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure. 
• Design, develop, and deploy BDD tests across our middleware suite, and then integrate those tests into our CI/CD pipelines. 
• Implement structured logging, metrics, and traces, to facilitate root cause analysis across multiple software components. 
• Create and execute test cases to validate functionality and identify defects.
• Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or discipline. 
• 2-3 years of hands-on testing experience for embedded systems with Python and C++ code. 
• Deep testing automation knowledge for embedded systems. 
• Experience with test automation, manual testing, and defect management to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Expertise in coding standards, secure coding practices, and use of development tools and platforms.

Preferred: Experience with REST API, JSON, MQTT, MicroPython, unit test frameworks and end-to-end test automation of embedded devices, proven track record of shipping high-quality software on embedded platforms.
