Upper School Summer School  Principal Intern

Position Summary:
The UA Summer School Principal Intern will assist with various administrative and instructional tasks, observing and potentially leading activities under the guidance of a mentor principal. This includes supporting staff, working with students, and potentially participating in program development or data analysis. The internship aims to provide practical experience in school leadership and administration, blending theory with real-world application.

Dates and Hours: June 2-27, with June 19th off; 7:30 am-3:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Administrative Support:
  Intern assists with the day to day operations of summer school such as, but not limited to supervision of students, supporting teachers/staff, parent communication and student discipline. 
• Instructional Support:
  Intern observes and potentially participates in curriculum support for teachers as well as give feedback.
• Leadership and Observation:
  Intern will observe the principal in action, participate in staff meetings, and potentially lead small groups or activities in classrooms. 
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
  Interns assist with analyzing student performance data, preparing reports, or presenting findings to staff and/or parents. 
• Community Engagement:
  Intern will be involved in parent meetings/calls and in building relationships with students, staff and community partners. 
• Continuous Learning:
  The internship is a time for the intern to reflect on experiences, develop leadership skills, and prepare for future leadership roles.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing Administrative path (preferred)
• Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
