US IT Security Specialist 
 

 

We are looking for a US Cyber Security Specialist for our Huntersville, NC facility. In this role you will be responsible for addressing all requests related to cybersecurity which include responding to questionnaires from business partners, reviewing and assessing cyber security sections of agreements and contracts, determining what measures are in place versus identifying gaps. This role also defines and implements necessary processes and or procedures to address gaps or new requirements. Furthermore, the role is instrumental to leading and implementing CMMC and NIST 800-171 which is a key requirement for federal government business. You will evaluate and help resolve vulnerabilities as well as train and educate on cyber security.

 

Your Responsibilities:

• Ensure alignment with overall IT/OT security strategy
• Responsible for implementing the defined group wide information security strategy and roadmap in the responsible area
• Participate in running the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in cooperation with internal and external specialists
• Enforce implementation and monitoring of information security guidelines in the responsible area
• Ensure an effective communication between the business responsible/key users and the IT Department
• Consult and accompany business and IT projects regarding IT/OT security
• Monitor performance according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels
• Manage and ensure risk assessments are conducted on a business-based impact basis
• Anticipate and define security measures based on current and potential future trends of cyber threats
• Ensure US defense and customer required IT/OT security measures are implemented, monitored and maintained

Your Profile:

• Must be a US citizen
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in relation to IT or cyber security
• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud and related technologies
• Know-how of cyber security tools and methodologies
• Experience and exposure to defense related IT/OT Security, highly desired (e.g. NIST 800-171, CMMC) Preferred experience with having implemented such compliance
• Must keep abreast with latest industry cyber security trends, regulations and technologies
• Understanding of business processes & organization
• Experience in a multinational environment preferred
• Good understanding of the current threats as well as possible countermeasures
• Willingness to travel and work outside of business hours
• High interest in document and information management
• Current security certifications highly desired
