The Role

Technical Specialist Internship:  

You will have the ability to understand the scope of a technical solution and compare solutions. In the era of accelerated digital transformation, the demand for secure coding has grown exponentially. Specialists' ability to write secure code is an essential skill to protect applications and software from various threats. We are invested in providing valuable experience with talented individuals who are excited about technology- e.g., AWS administration, Azure administration, Computer Science, Cyber Security, and Technical Solution Management and Business Analytics.  

Program Overview:  

As an intern, you will spend the summer working on challenging and high-visibility projects. The internship will be on-site and hybrid in our Texas location. Limited stipends for housing are available for interns that do not have a residence (home or school) within 50 miles from their assigned site location.

The pay range for the position will be $25 - $30/hour based on a full-time schedule working 40 hours a week.

Required Technical and Professional Experience:

• Knowledge/Specialty: Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Process Mapping (BPM), Business Analytics  

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

• Skills: JavaScript, Python, Development Tooling, and concepts: GitHub, agile, CI/CD  

• Development languages: REACT (preferred), Ruby, Bash, node.js, JavaScript, Python  

• Environments: SLES (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server), RHEL, Advanced Interactive eXecutive (AIX)  

• Windows Automation Platforms: AWS, Kubernetes k8s runtime, Chef, Ansible, Jenkins  

• Databases: DB2, SQL, Sybase IQ/ASE, Various integration experience by using web service, cloud API, etc.   

Required Education: 

• Working towards an associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
