We are currently looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our growing team, who will be responsible for managing and executing HR operations and strategic initiatives that support both management and staff across the organization in the US Office in Fullerton, CA. You will play a key role in aligning HR practices with the overall business direction to ensure the company meets organizational goals.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

● Provide both operational and strategic HR support to management across business divisions, covering talent acquisition, talent management, training, retention, and compensation.

● Administer the company’s total rewards program, including benefits, payroll, compensation, time-off policies, and performance management.

● Supervise and delegate tasks for office administration and HR support staff in areas such as recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee engagement initiatives, and company-wide events.

● Prepare and process biweekly and monthly payroll for U.S. employees and independent contractors, and submit payroll reports to the Finance & Accounting team for accurate funding and general ledger allocation.

● Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and manage the recruitment and hiring process.

● Oversee the onboarding process, including conducting new employee orientations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

● Maintain, update, and communicate corporate policies, procedures, handbooks, systems, and initiatives to all staff levels.

● Administer benefits changes, open enrollment, 401(k), and compensation plans, conducting annual reviews to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.

● Manage employee relations, including handling team conflicts, employee disputes, disciplinary actions, and internal investigations.

● Administer leave of absence and workplace accommodation processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

● Ensure proper storage and confidentiality of employee records, sensitive documents, and personnel information within HR systems.

● Provide employee training on various HR tools, policies, procedures, and mandatory topics, such as occupational health and safety.

● Manage budgets and invoice reconciliation for HR/Admin vendors and insurance providers.

● Deliver scheduled and ad-hoc HR/payroll-related reports, providing key metrics and insights to leadership.

● Oversee the termination/offboarding process, including communicating terminations, facilitating work transitions, processing final paperwork, and conducting exit interviews to identify areas for improvement.

● Coordinate with immigration law firms to support employee visa and immigration needs.

● Assist legal efforts by managing contracts, handling claims, and drafting agreements.

● Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and review company policies to maintain compliance with best practices.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

● Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of operational human resources experience working in a management or generalist role with at least one to two (1-2) years managing direct reports

● Minimum of two (2) years of payroll administration experience required

● Bachelor’s degree or MBA/MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred from an accredited college/university; HR Certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is a plus

● Proven experience in administering full-cycle human resources operations & strategy

● Experience and knowledge in handling immigration cases (H-1B, Green Card, J-1, F-1, etc.)

● In-depth knowledge and understanding of HR employment laws, principles, and regulations for federal, local, and state labor law compliance, specifically in California.
