About you and this role:

In this role, you will serve as the Unit Leader/Manufacturing Representative for Resins located in Midland, MI. You will partner with Operations and Subject Matter Experts to ensure optimum plant availability in order to meet the Production and Project milestones.

You will serve as a formal technical mentor among Resins Production Engineers across multiple buildings who are new to the technology and then transition to the primary Manufacturing Representative for a $55MM Capital Project beginning in 2025.

Responsibilities / Duties:

• Demonstration of strong EH&S knowledge of Life Critical Standards and be a resource to support proper application.
• Ensures compliance with plant operating permits. Understands site integration and provides input to optimize the overall system.
• Elevates and appropriately applies knowledge of the plant and technology referencing historical data and conferring with Technology Center or other subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Partners with experts to perform and coach on advanced troubleshooting and improve and document operating discipline.
• Acts as a unit technical expert during unplanned events and drives implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Utilizes defined MET and challenges/escalates MET application and assumptions when better solutions arise.
• Carries the majority project accountability for the technical integrity and operability of the final facility. Ensures effective interface between the manufacturing representative and plant operations to ensure technical integrity and optimum operability.
• Provides effective communication and coordination between project team and Operations.
• Ensures safe and effective Commissioning, Start Up, and transfer to Operations process. Delivers a trained organization.
• Delivers new and/or updated Operating Discipline for Project Startup activities.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Wear all required personal protective equipment

Preferred skills:

• A degree discipline in engineering
• Previous silicones technology
• Previous Capital Project experience
