Salary/Position Classification
- $14 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
- 10 hours per week
- 100% Remote Work Availability: No
- Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND undergraduate students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings.
- Perform a variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production and designs.
- Prepare basic calculations.
- Collect, organize, and evaluate data.
- Analyze power systems utilizing computer modeling and simulation.

Minimum Requirements
- Enrolled in B.S. Electrical Engineering
- Experience with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel for data analysis and MS PowerPoint
- Familiarity with power system modeling and analysis tools
- Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Junior/Senior level in Electrical Engineering with research experience preferred.
- Experience with MS Visio, Power World, and risk assessment tools.
- Candidates should be highly motivated and dependable students who are taking or have taken power system courses.
