Undergraduate Library Student Assistant

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Student worker will report to the Circulations Services Manager

• Provide security at the entrance near the America’s Cup Café

• Assist patrons with computers, printers and scanners

• Provide basic security by patrolling the Library and ensuring that patrons swipe ID cards upon entering the building

• Hourly library head counts

• Troubleshoot printers, copiers, scanners and computers as needed

• Assist at main Circulation Desk as needed

• Organize Library furniture

• Report any Library maintenance, equipment and/or security issues

• Miscellaneous errands and office task as assigned

• Must have the ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends and scheduled exam times.

• This position will be reviewed at the end of the current semester.

• Able to handle multi-tasking

• Resourceful and able to work independently with little supervision

• Clear speaking voice and good communication skills

• Ability to work well with others (students, staff, faculty, etc.)
