UMS Athletic Director

POSITION: PART-TIME ATHLETIC DIRECTOR ~ UINTAH MIDDLE SCHOOL 

(Voucher position, no benefits)

MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the school administration, the Athletic Director is to manage the athletic program at Vernal Middle School.

District Expectations: 
• Set up gyms and/or fields for games; 
• Find clock operators; 
• Arrange supervisors; 
• Help Coaches with schedules; 
• Arrange and pay officials; 
• Communicate with Coaches; 
• Communicate athlete, coach, and parent concerns with the building administration; 
• Check to make sure the facilities are safe; 
• Be part of hiring committees for Middle School coaches; 
• Communicate and coordinate with school administration regarding athletics; 
• Other duties as assigned by administration.

Education/Experience: 
• High School Diploma required; 
• Successful coaching experience; 
• An applicant with a teaching certificate may receive preference; 
• Willing to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other teachers and staff.
