Truck Driver, Regional

The BC regional truck driver will be responsible for the safe and secure transportation of BC goods throughout the BC network.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

•  Conduct Pre/Post trip inspections
•  Pick up and deliver goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed
•  Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; IE check fluids, walk arounds. Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
•  Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy
•  Load Securement

 

EDUCATION, LANGUAGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

● High school diploma or equivalent

● Traffic laws/DOT regulations/ at least 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience

● CDL Class A -Clean driving record, with no more than 2 moving violations within the last 2 years

● Listening and oral communication skills

● Time and Priority Management skills

 

 ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL OR FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

● CDL Class A

● Minimum 1 year of Reefer experience

● 21 years or older

● Working knowledge of electronic logging devices
