TxDOT’s San Antonio District is hiring a Transportation Specialist I for our Uvalde Maintenance Office—an opportunity to help lead a maintenance section dedicated to keeping roads, structures, and rights-of-way safe, reliable, and ready for the traveling public.

In this role, you’ll support contract management, assist with planning and scheduling maintenance activities, coordinate emergency response efforts, and work closely with local officials and community stakeholders. Provides technical expertise and coordination for transportation programs involving design, building construction projects, construction of transportation systems, traffic operations, maintenance of highways and facilities, or bridge inspection and appraisal in accordance with Department standards. Assists with project planning and the development of policies and procedures for area of responsibility.
