Transportation Project Manager (P.E.)

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Transportation Services Group (TSG). The TSG currently has 80+ full time staff and is working on a variety of challenging transportation projects across our geographic footprint. Within the TSG, the Project Manager role is a key leadership position and the hub of our ability to win and execute projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and thriving group that provides transportation engineering services to our clients throughout Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Washington, and Oregon.  This position will focus on project delivery and business development, and will report to the TSG Regional Lead who is located in our Salt Lake City, UT office.

Duties:

• Business Development

     -Coordinate with the TSG Regional Lead to develop strategy for the region.

     -Lead marketing/business development activities and capture strategy for transportation 

      engineering pursuits for local governments and UDOT.

     -Lead the development of proposals and interviews for potential projects. 

• Project Delivery/Leadership

     -Develop and manage scopes of work, schedules, contracts, and design budgets for projects.

     -Work very closely with technical staff assigned to projects including drafters, EIT’s, and project 

      engineers. 

     -Oversee the full life cycle of transportation projects including planning, design and 

      implementation for local roadway jurisdictions as well as working on federally funded projects for

      UDOT.

     -Mentor and coach junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent and a current Utah PE license, or ability to obtain by comity within 60 days of hire.
• 20+ years of Transportation Engineering experience including past roles as a designer and/or project engineer overseeing the development of plans, specs, and estimates and supporting the development of environmental documentation for transportation projects. 
• Proven history providing engineering and management on transportation projects with UDOT and/or local agencies.
• Proven ability to work with others and to manage project deliverables and lead diverse teams to successfully deliver complex transportation projects.
• Strong communication and writing skills.

Salary Range: 

$160,000-$200,000.
