Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of Recruitment, Outreach, and Orientation, the primary responsibilities of the Transfer Program Liaison are: 1) to support students who began their educational program at a community college or university successfully prepare and transfer to CSUS; 2) evaluate students’ completion of courses that meet admission, general education and lower division major preparation requirements; 3) effectively communicate the basis for recommendations, admission decisions and actions; and 4) assist in the planning and organizing of transfer admission related processes.

FLSA: Exempt (Not eligible for overtime compensation)

Anticipated Hiring Range:  $5,083 per month - $5,753 per month

CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,083 per month - $7,228 per month

Time Base: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m.  Operating hours may vary depending on operational requirements. Work location at Sacramento State (20%) and Cosumnes River College (80%).

The College of Continuing Education (CCE) extends the mission of the university by increasing access for non-traditional learners. With a primary expertise on serving adult learners, CCE provides programs and services to individuals and employers year-round, unbound by traditional semester schedules and formats. Minimum Qualifications 

Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to interpret and apply program rules and regulations; use initiative and resourcefulness in planning work assignments and in implementing long-range program improvements; obtain factual and interpretative information through interviews; reason logically; collect, compile, analyze and evaluate data and make verbal or written presentations based on these data; advise students individually and in groups on routine matters where required; recognize multicultural value systems and work accordingly; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, administrators, student organizations, private and public agencies and others in committee work, and student advising and community contacts; and, rapidly acquire a general knowledge of the overall operation, functions and programs of the campus to which assigned. Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student.
