JOB PURPOSE 

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.  We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The purpose of this job is to train and examine PC and RSAF Typhoon technical staff in the ground handling, refuelling and flight servicing of the Typhoon aircraft system in order to ensure that continuing airworthiness and first line maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with the RSAF Regulatory Framework 

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Performing maintenance activities on Typhoon aircraft.

Ensuring that all personnel engaged in activities in their Area of Responsibility follow the correct practices and observe safety precautions thereby complying with the requirements and limitations detailed in the Salam Support Safety Case Report.

Ensuring that no one is exposed to any unnecessary or uncontrolled risk in their Area of Responsibility, as far as is reasonably practicable.

Performing maintenance activities in accordance with (iaw) a continuing airworthiness and maintenance governance framework

Perform good husbandry practices.

Perform FOD control measures as directed by management.

Comply with Safety Management Systems and Maintenance Error Management Systems.

Performing aircraft handling and flight line activities when required.

Training of Squadron (AGF) engineering personnel in the ground handling, fuelling and flight servicing of Typhoon aircraft.

Training of Squadron (AGF) aircrew to carry out flight servicing specifically the Aircrew  Landaway Flight Servicing Schedule (ALFSS).

Providing extra training for personnel who fail to meet required standards.

Assist in the Training activities of AGF Personnel, including but not limited to lectures and other associated training activities.

 

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Essential

Must be educated to HNC level or recognised equivalent or have relevant experience supported by formal, recorded workplace applied related training.

Demonstrable experience working as a supervisor conducting Training Activities on a busy, military operational flying unit

Must have completed a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship in industry/military or similar qualification in aircraft systems.

Must have previous ESS experience with a formal ‘Q’ annot
