Quality Truck Care Center is a Family-owned business established in 1986! We represent Western Star, and Autocar. Certified in Detroit, Cummins, CAT engines, Allison and Detroit Transmissions and Axles.

Our De Pere, Appleton, Oshkosh, and Fond du Lac locations are currently looking for trailer technicians to join our team. We have both 2nd sift available 12:00pm to 9:30pm.

We're offering a generous sign-on bonus! The 2nd shift employees are eligible for an annual $5000 BONUS.

Position Summary:

A mechanic who directs the service operation and personnel during periods of the Service Manager’s absence, or during second shift.  Must be able to lead and supervise personnel.  Spends 70% or more of work time on billable repairs.

Repairs and services the mechanical, electrical, and other components of a trailer using hand tools, power tools, welders, and/or any other testing or repair equipment necessary.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Determines necessary mechanical, electrical, or other areas that need repair to meet the customer’s expectations

2. Correctly performs DOT & PM Inspections on trailers

3. Welding and fabrication of steel and aluminum, as necessary

4. Repairs electronics and runs trailer wires, as necessary

5. Fixes and repair tires, as necessary

6. Assists customers on service calls

7. Correctly completes all forms, timecards, parts requests, or any other documents associated with trailer repairs

8. Represents Quality Truck Care Center in a professional manner, remaining friendly and courteous in all customer and coworker interactions.

9. Wears proper personal protective equipment to protect from injury.

10. Keeps work areas clean and free of clutter.

11. Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, CDL preferred.
