Trading Manager

Holcim Trading Inc. seeks a Trading Manager at its Miami, Florida office (located at: 2655 Le Jeune Road, Suite 606, Coral Gables, FL 33134). The Trading Manager is responsible for proposing and executing the regional Holcim Trading plan. This will require daily communication in Portuguese, Spanish, and English with counterparts and stakeholders in the U.S., Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic and Mexico. Specifically, the individual will develop and manage a network of internal and external business partners. S/he will negotiate and execute sales contracts across all product lines and sourcing contracts for cement, white cement, salt, bauxite, clinker, copper slag and slag. She will interface with support resources such as Operations, Chartering, Legal, Finance, Strategy & Development and with Trading colleagues in other regions, including South America, Asia and Europe. S/he will manage trading risks, generate information for the purpose of market intelligence and business planning, and drive value creation for and with existing customers and suppliers across all products, services, and freight. S/he will grow the business by identifying new opportunities with new customers or suppliers, contribute to the execution of trade transactions through close coordination with support functions, and oversee a budget of 50-75M Euro, 1-2 MT of traded volume. Further, s/he will maximize volume and ROIC with third-party customers. Up to 50% domestic/international travel may be required.

 

The position of Trading Manager requires 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a commercial sales or trading role. The position requires the following number of years of experience with each of the following:
• 5 years: Managing a cross-cultural, multi-country team
• 2 years: Facilitating the development of customized building materials or construction products by serving as an intermediary between heavy industrial market customers and the producer
• 1 year: Analyzing the value of cement, based upon properties and usage
• 1 year: Selling industrial products to various types of customers
