OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To prepare Track design drawings and BIM documents and delivery of Track Engineering activities and Track Submissions
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand and analyze requirements in contractual technical documents
- Understand and assess horizontal and vertical railway alignment
- Prepare the required track documents for construction team (drawings, sections, layouts, material details, assembly drawings, listings…)
- Assimilation and Deployment of track installation principles so as to carry out proper design
- Respect of drawing codification and submission process
- Prepare the track material quantities
- Position Track components in the alignment and design all track interface drawings
- Design mechanical assemblies for trackwork
- Provision of the track services for the CSDs,
- Design typical and “for construction” track sections
- Issuing construction drawings (reinforcement, interface installation, track installation layout, turnouts and special
- Trackworks installation, road crossing phasing drawings
- Accountable for track installation activities such as;
- Follow up track installation on site and traceability of installation inorder to update construction drawings into “as-built” drawings
- Revision of design or construction drawings in case of modification
- Prepare all track related design documents
- Ensure compliance with standards, technical specifications and procedures including Quality procedures.
- Definition of components technical criteria and technical evaluation of suppliers,
- Obtaining approval of technical documents (especially drawings),
- Bill of Quantities (BOQ) elaboration,
- Prepare submittals to client and 3rd entities
Qualifications & Skills:
- Multiple task management and time management
- Solution oriented and practical operating skills
- Supervision of all detailed drawings and BIM Design
- Experience in railway projects preliminary design, detailed design, and construction design
- Having experience of track design
- BIM and 3D Design knowledge
- Good level of English document(technical reports, specification etc.) reading and writing
- Good knowledge in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, Microstation, Microsoft Office Applications.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary teams is an integral component of this role
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Related Technical School Education
- Having certification and detailed experience in BIM Design is an asset.

- Mastery of AUTOCAD, Revit and technical drawing/industrial design.
- BIM and 3D Design knowledge and experience required
