The Title Express Operations Manager is responsible for leading a team of processors and/or Specialists within a designated area of the Title Express process. Under the direction of the Senior Operations Manager, this role ensures exceptional customer service, operational compliance, employee development, and consistent achievement of SLA targets.
The Operations Manager plays a key role in enforcing Copart best practices while creating a results-driven, people-first culture across both on-site and remote team members. Title Express supports auto insurance companies by facilitating vehicle title procurement, managing title documentation, and collaborating with financial institutions and vehicle owners.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure alignment with SLA goals, team performance, customer satisfaction, and compliance expectations.
Hire, train, develop, and retain a high-performing team by fostering engagement, clarity, and growth opportunities.
Build a collaborative and inclusive remote-friendly environment by using effective communication tools, holding virtual huddles, providing feedback, and ensuring remote staff feel supported and accountable.
Develop and implement strategies to promote employee retention, morale, and productivity across all working environments.
Provide daily support and direction to specialists and processors, including workload delegation, problem-solving, and escalation management.
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and career development discussions with team members.
Manage employee scheduling, timekeeping, and attendance in compliance with company policy.
Complete daily/weekly/monthly audits and track SLA compliance to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Create and maintain Excel-based reports and tracking tools to monitor operational performance, individual metrics, productivity trends, and compliance levels.
Analyze team and process performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement; present findings to leadership and implement process enhancements accordingly.
Coordinate with the Senior Operations Manager to roll out new initiatives, implement continuous improvement strategies, and align department goals.
Facilitate effective team meetings and remote check-ins to ensure clear communication and performance alignment.
Serve as a backup to processors and specialists as needed, maintaining a strong working knowledge of all supervised functions.
Uphold a clean, organized, and professional office environment while ensuring virtual team members meet company standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework or degree preferred
Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or office management experience in operations, administrative services, or title-related work
