Job Summary

The Thomas Metcalf Lunch Program Coordinator is the head of the Thomas Metcalf School Lunch Program. This position is responsible for hiring and training of staff, maintaining a budget, billing with support of the Thomas Metcalf Business Manager, food service, ordering, and all related needs.

This position is subject to summer academic break layoff, typically June through July.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s or equivalent degree
  2. Food sanitation management certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  3. One year of professional level experience working with or around children

Preferred Qualifications

  1. The following skills and/or abilities:
    a. Technical skills including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and basic bookkeeping software.
    b. Strong interpersonal skills.
    c. Strong oral and written communication skills.
    d. Ability to work independently.
  2. Supervisory experience.

Work Hours

9:00am-1:30pm, Monday through Friday

This is a part time, permanent position. Part time employee premiums for insurance coverage are calculated based on percentage of time worked. Please contact Benefits Services for more information at (309) 438-8311.

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  1. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
  2. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
