This is a/an 83.3% full-time equivalency (FTE) job with months off. The number of months off will be determined by the position's FTE percentage. The timing of months off will be set to meet the needs of the unit and the essential duties of the position. Questions related to HR105 FTE positions should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process. This position is eligible for benefits associated with any full-time position. The salary grade and range listed in the posting is reflective of a 100% Full-time position. POSITION SPECIFICS

The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence has an opening for a Testing Center Evening-Shift Supervisor at the Pollock Testing Center (PTC) on the University Park campus. The evening-shift hours are 2:15 PM to 11:15 PM, which includes a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

The evening-shift supervisor will oversee daily operations in the Pollock Testing Center in collaboration with the daytime-shift supervisor to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures. The supervisor will work with management to develop and implement eTesting and Scanning procedures. The supervisor will create and maintain the eTesting request process, testing schedule, and resolve issues with eTesting and Scanning. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with all staff to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for students, faculty, and other visitors to the Center
  • Monitor daily activities and supervise evening-shift staff
  • Perform functions of and train staff in processes and procedures, troubleshooting, and monitoring of the testing lab
  • Evaluate performance of evening-shift staff relative to daily expectations, troubleshooting, and unit procedures
  • Serve as the primary contact for troubleshooting issues of instructors and students
  • Serve as a backup for front-desk staff when necessary
