Job Description

EAG Laboratories has a great opportunity for a Test Operator/IC Assembler to join our ATE Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing manual testing and operating Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to test semiconductor parts and components. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, testing efficiency and on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate semiconductor automated testing equipment and manual test.
  • Ensure operational documents and quantity reports are accurate, complete and timely for each operation.
  • Meet test priority and on-time goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work cohesively with other team members and assist to achieve testing objectives.
  • Proactive in identifying issues and resolving them quickly to satisfy productions objectives and customer needs.

The Test Operator opportunity is located in Santa Clara, CA. As relocation assistance is not offered, we encourage local candidates to apply.

Night Shift Work Schedule:  11:30pm-12pm (Alternating weeks: 3 days x 12 hours, 4 days x 12 hours)

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 1 year experience with IC testing (aka ATE test) in electronic manufacturing. 
  • Hands-on experience in running semiconductor test equipment.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • Ability to calculate test yield and troubleshoot routine issues.
  • Good communication and written skills.
  • Ability to work with customers and ensure customer satisfaction.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time. 
  • Ability to continuously operate a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and other lab equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
  • Ability to communicate clearly and understandably ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting.
  • Ability to handle small and fragile devices with tweezers and /or fingers.
  • Require close distance visual acuity with or without correction (Glasses, Contacts, etc.)
  • Must be willing and able to wear PPE such as hard-hat, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, laboratory coat and/or any other devices or equipment that is required.
  • Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
  • Ability to move equipment or items up to 25 lbs.

Compensation is aligned with market standards for the region and tailored to individual qualifications and experience; additional 15% night shift differential.
