The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced Test Engineering Manager to lead our test team in Albuquerque, NM. The successful candidate will manage on-site project test engineering as defined contractually. You will support test engineers in identifying customer requirements and testing methods applicable to meet these requirements. Test management includes preparation and coordination of over-arching test plans, preparation and coordination of detailed test plans and procedures, managing test conduct, preparation and coordination of final test reports, and following up on resolution to identified issues. This role involves working independently with little supervision. You may coach and review work of lower-level test professionals.

This position may require up to 10% travel in the continental United States for various projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team of test engineers working on management of multiple fast paced test projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to confidently Influence others regarding system design, solutions, and procedures.
  • Accountable to execute implementation of cradle to grave project lifecycle testing.
  • Ability to assess complex engineering methodology to determine strategies to meet test challenges.
  • Provides support to Program and Project Managers, in the preparation, coordination, and customer approval of test related documentation.
  • Responsible for determining optimal approach to testing complex products or solutions to assure compliance with applicable specifications.
  • Combines customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints.
  • Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems.
  • Provides input to the development of product requirements and requirements verification traceability matrices.
  • Collaborates with design engineers to develop efficient test concepts and procedures.
  • Develops contract required test management plans, and detailed test plans and procedures.
  • Prepares for and leads test conduct efforts.
  • Prepares and delivers test reports.
  • Reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.
  • Ensures that design issues found during testing are resolved and coordinated with the customer.
  • Provides support to test-related integrated product teams, e.g. Integrated Test Team/Test Working Groups
  • Provides guidance to managers on product verification issues.
  • Reviews the work of others and be able to detect/report errors or needed modifications.
  • Works in a team environment, Quality Team Member


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Active Secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics with 10 years of related test experience.
  • Strong management, leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Experience in DoD product acquisition, develop, and test.
  • Strives to excel at challenges while hitting the ground running with change management experience.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office tools.
  • Ability to manage flexible customer schedules.
  • Ability to closely communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working in professional office and industrial environment.
  • Possess a positive and professional attitude.


Desired:

  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Master’s degree in engineering or physics
  • Experience with test and evaluation of command and control systems
  • Experience in high-altitude electromagnetic pulse test and evaluation
  • Prior military or government contract experience
