Job Description

• Perform hands-on manual testing with an aptitude to demonstrate the ability to create test plan strategies, proper documentation on execution step, determining cause and expected behavior
• Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts
• Master application tool sets used within QA, such as JIRA, Bitbucket, Database Tools
• Collaboration across teams and working with product owners
• Coordinate with Sr Engineers on automating tests to perform nightly execution
• Perform code reviews of automated test changes
• Continuous review of manual test cases and identifying automation candidates to automate and include as part of a test suite
• Collaborate with QA team to do manual testing during UAT
• Provide input in prioritizing, estimating, and defining acceptance criteria
• Being an individual contributor with strong attention to detail to deliver high quality products to the Verisk customers
• Continuous learning of all product offerings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science and 2 years hands on automation experience or 3-5 years relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance techniques and best practices.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies (e.g., automated, exploratory, performance).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate across teams and participating in a team environment
• Ability to learn and adapt to continuously changing technology
• Knowledge and experience in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver with Java or C# 
• Experience in testing API using Postman or Swagger
• Knowledge and experience in testing non-GUI applications, manipulating flat files, XML, json
• Knowledge in performance testing using tools such as JMeter
• Knowledge and experience in testing custom integrations
• Knowledge of operating systems, development tools and approaches, task tracking tools such as JIRA, and MS Office applications.
• Experience testing mobile devices, such as Android and IOs

• Selenium WebDriver, Postman, Bitbucket, Visual Studio code editor, NodeJS, JMeter, Android Studio, UNIX

Languages:

• JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, HTML, XCode

Database Knowledge:

• Basic SQL knowledge
• Basic of NoSQL

• Azure Devops
• JQuery
• AWS

• CypressIO
