Location: Remote (United States)

As a Test Automation Engineer, You Will:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Selenium WebDriver for web application testing in a DevOps environment on AWS.
• Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design effective test strategies.
• Participate in the software development life cycle (SDLC), providing input on testability, test plans, and test scenarios during the design and development phases.
• Execute automated tests and analyze test results to identify defects, performance issues, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain test data, test environments, and test infrastructure on AWS, leveraging cloud-based services such as EC2, S3, and RDS.
• Integrate test automation with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline to enable efficient and reliable software releases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality applications.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in test automation, AWS, and DevOps practices, and share knowledge with the team.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on application development, data testing, and using Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, and experience in developing automation scripts and frameworks for data testing.
• In-depth understanding of test automation principles, methodologies, and best practices, with a specific focus on data validation and integration testing.
• Solid knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web services (RESTful APIs).
• Experience working in a DevOps environment, utilizing AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with data technologies and platforms, particularly Databricks on AWS, and understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration concepts.
• Experience with SQL and data querying languages for data validation and verification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex data-related issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, Agile environment.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, or Cucumber
• Experience with data testing tools and frameworks such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, or Apache Hadoop.
• Knowledge of big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks.
• Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Understanding of cloud-based testing approaches and tools, such as AWS Data Pipeline or AWS Glue.
