We're a collaborative team of 20+ professionals — developers, analysts, testers, DevOps engineers and scrum masters — working together across multiple locations. As Nordea's middle office domain, we're at the heart of the action, connecting front and back office operations.
Our technology stack includes, but is not limited to: Java, Spring Boot, Spark, Kafka, Cloudera, Oracle Database, Snowflake, Kubernetes, Bitbucket, Bamboo.
We're seeking a Senior IT Analyst who is passionate about quality and testing. In this role, you'll help drive quality across the Accounting team by refining requirements, validating data and business logic, and ensuring every release meets the highest standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Analyze and translate business needs into clear, structured, and testable requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
- Partner with developers during refinement to shape solutions and validate logic and setup decisions
- Validate data quality and business logic throughout the development lifecycle
- Execute end-to-end business flow validations and verify expected outputs across integrated systems
- Prepare test cases covering not only the happy path, but also corner cases and cross-system impacts
- Ensure release readiness and provide quality assurance sign-off before deployment
Who you are
You are an analytical problem solver with a passion for quality. You enjoy understanding complex business processes, working with data, and collaborating with both business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Your background and skills include:
- Senior-level experience in business or functional analysis
- Ability to translate business intent into specific, structured, and testable requirements
- Experience in requirements gathering, refinement, and documentation
- Hands-on experience with test case design, defect management, and release validation
- Practical knowledge of SQL for data investigation and validation
- Strong communication skills and a structured, ownership-driven approach
- Experience in finance, banking, insurance, or another regulated, data-heavy domain
Nice to have:
- Experience with test automation tools or scripting
- Experience with tools such as Jira, qTest, Confluence, or similar
- ISTQB certification (or equivalent)
