WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Territory Sales Representative role entails supporting the efforts of the Territory Sales team by selling and/or introducing products and services to both established and prospective clients (51% or more of your time will be dedicated to outbound selling efforts).  The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in the professional development of the team while achieving revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making phone calls and on-site sales calls to prospective clients, working with channel partners, qualifying prospects, and closing sales.  This position will also provide support for our Account Executive Team, interface with our Operations Team to assist in daily tasks, improve customer satisfaction, and help streamline the sales cycle utilizing Salesforce.com.

The Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for Reactive, Proactive, and Strategic tasks; examples listed below.

Reactive Examples- Administrative tasks - such as, but not limited to – putting together quotations, sales orders, and working to determine order lead-times for clients and internal staff; as well as interfacing with the Business Intelligence team to complete network support renewals.

Proactive Examples – Demand generation – including subscription-based services follow-up, responding to E-rate bid solicitations, and providing forecasting/opportunity tracking assistance for the Account Executive Team.

Strategic Examples – Proposal writing, personal sales calls, in-depth understanding of our Managed Services offerings, and ongoing learning of various networking technologies to support a strong consultative sales approach.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Support calling client prospects and developing/qualifying opportunities
  • Responding to clients’ requests for product and service information, quotations, and order lead times.
  • Preparing orders for placement utilizing Salesforce.com
  • Tracking and following up on new customer leads generated by marketing events/trade shows and lead subscription databases
  • Participating in training sessions, meetings, skill building, and professional development opportunities
  • Cooperating with Account Executives and Sales Supervisor to determine essential strategic approaches for sales
  • Attending sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on the market situation.
  • Entering accurate and complete information in the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)
  • Attending conferences and trade shows to develop industry expertise and foster new relationships.
  • Developing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up
