We are looking for a Territory Account Manager - Pacific NW to join our Sales Team! (candidate must live in one of the Territory States - Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado)
Duties & Responsibilities
The Territory Account Manager works cooperatively with various departments to increase customer satisfaction, and develop new accounts, to drive sales. This position is an expansion of our outside sales team and will focus on delivering consultative sales by identifying customer needs, building customer relations, explaining the value of various product lines and services, in order to meet a sales quotas. This position is for someone who is self-motivated, has a competitive nature and thrives in a sales environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong focus on sales and customer service, with an ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment. Extensive travel is required.
- Review monthly customer sales trends and investigate significant changes in purchases (see Sales by Territory through SalesForce.com dashboard).
- Develop annual, quarterly and monthly action plans to increase sales to existing customers (introduce new products and vendors as well as existing product lines they are not currently purchasing through Cascade).
- Assess customer buying trends and activities on a quarterly basis – establish selling opportunities to meet and exceed sales budgets.
- Participate in conference calls to assess territory performance and quarterly meetings – provided detailed reports of activities – successes and disappointments – recommend solution based activities.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process as it relates to customers in the designated territory, sales projections, anticipated growth of key products and vendors.
- Coordinate regional vendor product training seminars to extend specific product awareness, selling opportunities, and customer relationships.
- Develop relationships with customer contacts and maintain regular contact with customers in your territory. Document summary of customer contact in system (SalesForce.com).
- Report information gathered during customer contact concerning new vendor and product opportunities as well as competitor activities.
- Report complaints gathered during customer contact and coordinate satisfactory solutions with the National Sales Manager.
- Review E-Store and OPIE customer’s sales activities, verify systems and procedures meet and exceed customer expectations. Provide recommendations for quality improvement.
- Provide customers with requested literature (Catalogs and Price Guides, Sales Sheets, Vendor Product Information, etc.).
- Work with prior customers to rebuild the distribution relationship and reactivate their account.
- Generate new customers from prospects (customer referrals, trade show contacts, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
