The Temporary Program Associate will support the strategic growth of its Information Integrity and Resilience efforts. The Key functions of this position include knowledge management, program support for the implementation of digital resilience and media literacy programs, program support for key gender and youth programs, and support for the strategic growth and innovation of digital resilience programs, as well as research tasks.

Your Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1+ years of work experience in the area of media literacy or education or media or a combination of the three.
  • Work experience may include internships or part-time job or combination of both. Skills may vary based on program, project, or practice needs.
  • Experience conducting research and ability to proficiently articulate findings in the English language.
  • Experience working in and/or interest in developing capacity for data collection and technology systems such as SurveyMonkey, etc.
  • Experience managing multiple administrative tasks in a demanding, time sensitive work environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis software.
  • Proactive and comfortable with contemporary digital platforms for collaboration and communication.
  • Ability to use knowledge management and productivity systems such as SharePoint and/or Salesforce effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products, including and especially Excel including use of pivot tables, formulas, and charts.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work in a positive, solutions-oriented way independently and collaboratively with others on a team.
  • Ability to adapt, respond to changing conditions with flexibility and think creatively.
  • Clear, succinct, and compelling communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and intercultural skills.
  • Speaking, reading and writing proficiency in English.
  • Must demonstrate valid proof of unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.  

       

      Your Daily Tasks

      • Maintains, updates, expands, and shares Information Integrity and Resilience resources.
      • Assist with coordination of lessons learned and best practice exchange among HQ and field staff implementing information integrity and resilience projects.
      • Conduct desk research to improve and evolve IREX’s approach to media and information literacy and to inform expansion and learning efforts.  
      • Assist with select strategic media and information literacy learning activities and associated data collection, data management, and reporting.
      • Support the organization and implementation of workshops, meetings, and other events.  
      • Assist with administrative and operational tasks.
      • Produce drafts of communications products such as results factsheets and success stories from IREX’s global media and information literacy portfolio.
      • Contribute to programmatic communications efforts, including social media, success stories, and program reports. 
      • Assist in preparing internal and external-facing reports and communications.
      • Participate in design, development, and submission of concepts and proposals that expand IREX’s Global MIL portfolio.
      • Assist with procurement and process payments according to IREX procedures.  
      • Manage consultant and sub-award agreements, deliverable tracking, logistics, and payments.
      • Coordinate travel arrangements and expense reporting for reconciliation and reimbursement. 
      • Maintain familiarity with and help field office teams access IREX/DC office policies, procedures, support staff, and resources. 
      • Participate in team and departmental meetings, including SDG, CALI, Global MIL and NBDU.
      • Represent IREX interests both within and outside of IREX. 
      • Maintain and support IREX’s staff use of Information Integrity and Resilien
