Temporary Manager – Data Governance Process Risk Consulting (Global Banks)

Remote | Temporary Position

RSM’s Global Banking Risk Consulting Practice is expanding, and we’re seeking experienced professionals with strong expertise in data governance, audit, and internal controls. This remote and temporary role focuses on advising top U.S. and global banking institutions, providing innovative solutions, and fostering career growth within an inclusive culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support risk and control assessments, focusing on data governance frameworks, data quality, and data integrity.
  • Develop and enhance governance structures for critical banking operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Conduct reviews of IT General Controls (ITGCs), IT Application Controls (ITACs), and Data Quality Controls.
  • Apply deep expertise in IT and cloud control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT, NIST, SOX, BCBS 239).
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to deliver actionable recommendations for improving data management practices and internal controls.
  • Mentor team members, oversee project workflows, and support professional development.
  • Contribute to business development through proposals, thought leadership, and relationship-building.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience, with 2–3 years leading data governance and risk projects, preferably in global banking or financial services.
  • Advanced knowledge of data governance principles and practices, ITGCs, ITACs, and industry trends.
  • Significant expertise in IT frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT, NIST, SOX, PCI DSS, BCBS 239) and information security.
  • Relevant certifications preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across technical and business functions.
  • Flexibility to work remotely and collaborate with teams virtually.
