Job Description:

This temporary position will handle a variety of maintenance, repair, and landscaping tasks across the college campus. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing duties such as carpentry, minor plumbing, painting, drywall repair, basic electrical work, groundskeeping and landscaping maintenance, and general upkeep.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across campus facilities.

• Assist with landscaping and grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, and seasonal cleanup.

• Maintain campus appearance by performing routine upkeep of buildings, walkways, and outdoor spaces.

• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic landscaping equipment.

• Identify maintenance issues and report needed repairs or safety concerns to supervisors.

• Follow established safety procedures and use personal protective equipment as required.

• Support special projects and event setup as needed.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Professional Experience:

Experience as a handyperson, utility worker, or in a related trade. Strong knowledge of hardware tools and general repair skills. Basic understanding of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Education:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred: Technical training or certifications a plus
