Technical Writer

What does a great Technical Writer do at Fiserv?
A great Technical Writer at Fiserv collaborates with internal teams to understand product and documentation requirements thoroughly. They produce high-quality documentation that complies with standards and suits the intended audience. They analyze content for reuse opportunities and maintain the information architecture effectively.

What you will do:

• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of product and documentation requirements
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for intended audiences
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Create and maintain the information architecture

What You Will Need To Have:

• 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, including experience writing software documentation
• Proficiency at writing impeccable content in U.S. English
• Ability to work with product subject matter experts and technical team stakeholders to gather and develop accurate user-friendly documentation within Fiserv standards and guidelines
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and present them clearly in text and graphics
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, SnagIt, and other documentation tools
• Ability to work with limited supervision and translate high-level directives into deliverables
• Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, Professional Writing, English, Journalism, or Computer Science; or commensurate experience
• Ability to work within time frames to deliver quality documentation

What Would Be Great To Have:

• 5+ years of relevant technical writing experience
• Experience in the financial services or banking industry
• Experience working in Jira as a reference point for source information

Salary Range

$56,900.00 - $95,600.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
