Commercial Training Specialist

You will work across the organization to develop and deliver training resources to grow our commercial organization, enable Customers, Partners, and Associates to confidently and safely operate and maintain our waterjet systems, and ultimately provide an outstanding End User Customer experience.
Hypertherm Associates is a 100% Associate-owned company, whose mission is to provide customers with the best industrial cutting solutions in the industry. Globally focused, at our Kent, Washington location, we design, manufacture, and support high pressure waterjet cutting systems and equipment.
As a Commercial Training Specialist, you will:
Develop and deliver primarily waterjet products, programming, operation and maintenance, and/or service training content
Facilitate face-to-face instructor-led training classes at Hypertherm facilities and occasionally at Channel Partner or Customer locations
Provide virtual, instructor-led courses and other training activities
Maintain training lab waterjet systems to assure they are operational, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the training lab and classrooms
Collaborate with eLearning Developers to develop storyboards, scripts and interactive activities for video and eLearning training
Work with Business and Regional Team stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to create content
Promote and communicate training opportunities to learner audiences
Assess the quality and effectiveness of our training programs
Provide critical insight and input to the long-range and annual operating planning process
Who you are and the experience you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of training related experience; or Associate’s degree and 4 -6 years technical training and development or sales experience
Project management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
High Level of initiative and independence
Experience with group facilitation and training and presentation delivery
Knowledge of waterjet technology and/or Hypertherm products
Preferred experience that differentiates you:
BS and 3+ years of training or sales experience
Prior experience in a training related role
Knowledge of Hypertherm cutting technologies (waterjet, plasma, other) (features and benefits plus operation and maintenance)
Location: OMAX in Kent, WA
Travel: Minimal – once a month or as needed
