Technical Sales Account Manager

Responsibilities:
- Develop new sales strategy, with strong knowledge of FBPS strengths/advantage, to expand current customer opportunities and penetrate target market segments.
- Main point of contact. Manage, with a focus of continuous improvement, current customer relationships to ensure alignment with key customer contacts (R&D, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, etc.) and customer satisfaction.
- Initiation of VA/VE initiatives for cost reduction while engaging the support of customer
- Understands and is sensitive to the competitive landscape, knows FBPS’s competitors’ strength and weaknesses
- Effectively communicate market trends and customer direction back to the organization.
- Create a strong working relationship with internal groups (Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Service, PMO)
- Work closely with Program Management to drive timing with focus on customer requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of Battery Market in target segments to help shape future product offerings
- Provide support to Product Marketing to develop, update and maintain technical marketing material while providing input on key trade show presence.
- Facilitates customer implementation of product change notifications (PCNs)
- Capable of converting customer requirements and challenges into FBPS solutions.
- Working knowledge of different battery chemistries and value propositions associated with each.
- Close collaboration with Customer Service sharing purchase orders, delivery planning, RMA’s, etc.
- Primary point of contact for customer for project status
Qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in the commercial truck market a plus
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Sales
- Prior track record of achievement in positions with significant responsibility
- Li-ion battery experience a plus
- Willing to travel as necessary to be successful both in US and International
