What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Driving project activities to ensure best performance for Quality KPI’s, such as warranty, customer satisfaction scores, and internal audits
- Providing the Voice of the Customer for design quality in product decisions
- Participation and active management of Technical Quality topics in cross-functional teams for interiors (center console, cockpit, door panels, and overhead console)
- Evaluation of project change requests for cost, quality, and timing
- Supporting development of engineering solutions and launch issues while protecting full volume manufacturability
- Evaluation of early project requests for impact to Quality Assurance, to ensure a flawless launch at Scout
- Keeping an ongoing list of project strengths and weaknesses for future improvement following up on outcome resolution
- Support Scout’s definition of quality and process requirements as Voice of the Customer
- Technical understanding of current vehicle status to drive design for manufacturability and repairability
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, Michigan.
- The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Education/Certifications: A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related technical field desired. Combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Years of Experience required in type of role: 5+ years of experience in automotive interiors (center console, cockpit, door panels, and overhead console) focused on customer satisfaction preferably in a product development role; OEM experience preferred
- Strong background in interpreting voice of the customer data (such as JD Power IQS) to help influence product design decisions
- Experience in product validation at the vehicle level
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills across hierarchy and functional levels (i.e. Director and Vice President Level)
- Ability to identify tasks, develop methodologies and plans, and execute with minimal supervision and own assignments to ensure the project success
- Proven ability to handle multiple assignments with competing priorities
