What You’ll Do:

The Technical Project Manager will work with business stakeholders and product managers to resource projects, organize all work (planned or unplanned), collect estimates, and keep stakeholders informed through the Software Development Lifecycle. You’ll work with developers and quality assurance to verify all business requirements are accurately captured and considered for development and testing. Coordinate demos and User Acceptance Testing to validate acceptance criteria, deliver feedback to the IT team, and ensure delivery of exceptional products. Expectation setting is critical: you should be an experienced self-starter who takes initiative to collate information and disseminate it in a digestible format to those who need to know.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Becomes a subject matter expert in Whisker’s eCommerce and operations management tools.
  • Partners with product managers in stakeholder interviews to collect and document business requirements for new or improved functionality for our operations management and eCommerce applications.
  • Review requirements with the Product Managers and Internal/External Development teams to ensure they are fully understood and adequately estimated.
  • Develops project plans with timelines and delivery milestones - setting and keeping expectations with project stakeholders.
  • Identifies and removes roadblocks preventing projects from continuing to move forward.
  • Organizes meetings to review progress and demos to collect feedback and discuss roadblocks & priorities.
  • Helps identify scope creep, keep stakeholders informed of the impact that changes will have on the project, and negotiate timelines.
  • Coordinates User Acceptance Testing with business stakeholders, documents and communicates feedback to the development team, and delivers revisions through the review process.
  • Communicates and schedules deployments and assists with post-deployment validation.
  • Ensure all project work is well organized using our project management tools - Jira and Wrike.
  • Works with IT and other project managers to continuously evolve and improve our workflow and processes - making us more efficient and improving quality.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or Business and/or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing and maintaining a project management tool (JIRA/Wrike).
  • 5+ years of experience managing software projects in an Agile environment.
  • 5+ years of experience working with executive leadership, business customers, and developers at various levels of technical expertise.
  • General knowledge of major web technologies like JavaScript, APIs, and Databases.
  • Understanding of the primary components of eCommerce and fulfillment.
  • Understanding of internet marketing, SEO, and analytics applications.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Extreme attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience moving projects from inception to completion with high quality.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, focused on the end goal, and remaining positive as priorities change.
  • Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions.
  • A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues.
  • Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)
