The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to oversee large-scale, cross-functional Program. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of managing large Programs across various products and disciplines, handling multiple deliverables, and managing relationships with multiple stakeholders and partners. This role will work closely with business, product, and technology leaders to drive Program from planning to execution, ensuring that goals align with business and client priorities while navigating complex technological and operational challenges. A strong foundation in technology is essential—the TPM must have the ability to understand, interpret, and communicate technical concepts, as well as support our technical teams through the delivery cycle. The TPM must be self-motivated with a drive to excel and capable of delivering results independently. Strong written and presentation skills and stakeholder management expertise are essential.

This role is based in our recently opened, global center, New York City office. Located in midtown Manhattan, amongst the iconic skyline, you'll be immersed in cultural richness that inspires innovation and creativity. Join our team and add your talents to building a hub for all of Genius Sports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the successful execution of cross-functional Programs, working closely with leadership, product, engineering, operations, and clients/partners.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to define the Programs goals, success criteria, deliverables, and outcomes.
  • Break down requirements into execution plans with clearly defined milestones, scope commitments, resource plans, and schedules.
  • Track and manage dependencies, blockers, and risks. Identify and execute mitigation strategies to prevent these from derailing the Programs success.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and work sessions, establish Programs operating rhythms, and ensure alignment across all contributing teams. Drive appropriate decisions and actions to keep Programmes on track despite uncertainty or aggressive deadlines.
  • Work with product, engineering, and operations teams on the technical delivery of products and services associated with the Program.
  • Lead technology-focused discussions, help identify gaps and manage blockers that help mobilize the solutions team.
  • Translate and present technical concepts from a product and engineering perspective for a non-technical audience.
  • Craft communication of progress toward goals and deliverables—report status across different groups and work-streams. Proactively set expectations internally and externally and communicate potential risks or delays.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics. Collect, analyze, and share relevant data to inform decision-making and make Program information visible to stakeholders.
  • Create and refine processes as needed, focusing on reliability, automation, scaling, and continuous improvement across Programs.

  • Build strong relationships across teams and organizational boundaries.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Program Management experience, including 5 or more years leading multiple complex technology-focused Programs.
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical background in building platforms, products, or services.
