• Work on generating a prototyping roadmap and working with the cross-functional partners in developing the requirements and specifications of prototypes.
• Plan and execute product prototype builds, including materials planning and factory readiness.
• Own system-level flexes and boards by managing the internal design review process and release to vendors, reviewing design changes with cross-functional teams, managing vendors and materials, and driving overall schedule for on-time delivery to final assembly.
• Establish daily build schedule and distribution plan for identified builds to support overall project plan for in-region and local builds.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams to understand key design changes requiring validation to accurately integrate engineering validation needs into the system build matrix.
• Provide clear executive-level reporting on build progress.
• Serve as primary point of contact for the program with our CM partners for the area and provide clear direction on requests to the factory.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree (foreign degree equivalent accepted) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science or related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or in a closely related occupation
• Requires 6 months of experience in each of the following:
• Working as a technology development program manager for consumer electronics
• ODM/JDM/CM vendor engagement models
• Phase gate approach to technology development projects
• Mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation, and characterization processes
• Operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects
• Developing new technologies and integrating advanced systems in consumer electronics

$212,762/year to $226,600/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
