In this role, you will lead and manage complex technical programs from inception through launch. You will be responsible for defining program scope, managing timelines, identifying and mitigating risks, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-performing and scalable solutions for Ford's critical, high-demand manufacturing systems. You will collaborate with a multi-skilled team to deliver innovative solutions, ensuring that engineering teams maintain high standards of solution design, code quality, testing, and performance. You get to work with a unique blend of engineers (software, hardware, controls), data scientists, DevOps specialists, automation experts, manufacturing operations personnel, and robotics specialists – facilitating the ideation, planning, execution, and scaling of Billion-Dollar ideas for the manufacturing of iconic Ford products. This position requires an individual who is at the forefront of technology frontiers and believes in bringing the latest and greatest to Ford’s plant floor to build impactful use cases that can be industrialized with the latest technologies. What you'll do...
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define product vision, strategy and the roadmap for the product or product family. This includes collaboration with Product Owners and key business Stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Requirements Gathering & Prioritization: Elicit and prioritize requirements from stakeholders across the teams, balancing business needs with technical feasibility and resource constraints.
- Product Design & Development: Collaborate with Architects and product designers, software engineers to design, develop, and launch new features and improvements to the product family. This includes creating detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Product Discovery: Employ various product discovery techniques to identify and validate product opportunities.
- Product Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor platform performance, user adoption, and identify areas for improvement. This includes analyzing usage data from post launch, conducting user surveys, and gathering feedback.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership, engineering, and business units.
- Customer Discovery: Regularly engage with users to understand their needs, pain points, and expectations. This includes conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Leadership Reviews: Prepare and present regular product updates and performance reviews to leadership.
- Change Management: Achieve organizational targets and business value metrics
You'll have...
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a product manager or software engineering role with demonstrated experience building / product-owning critical applications for industrial use cases that demand a combination of business / manufacturing / technical prowess.
- 3+ years of experience experience driving business OKRs through product development, data analysis, and user experience optimization.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with modern development practices such as Test
