About the role

Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams — People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more — provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.

The Role

As a Technical Program Manager at Block, you'll drive the strategy and execution of our global Go-To-Market (GTM) tooling roadmap. You'll own the roadmap end-to-end and serve as the DRI for high-impact programs that enable scalable growth across GTM teams. You will combine systems thinking with hands-on program delivery. You'll partner with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Product, Sales, and Marketing—to deliver integrated tooling that supports Block's global scale.

Block is a remote-first company with team members spread across multiple time zones.

You Will

  • Own and maintain the global GTM tooling roadmap across Block, ensuring alignment with business priorities and long-term platform strategy.
  • Act as the DRI and delivery lead for high-impact initiatives on the roadmap, shepherding them from conception through execution.
  • Coordinate technical discovery, requirements gathering, and systems design in partnership with Engineering, Product, and GTM stakeholders.
  • Identify cross-functional dependencies, manage risks, and proactively resolve blockers across multiple initiatives.
  • Ensure a consistent and scalable approach to GTM tooling—optimizing workflows, reducing duplication, and improving system usability for internal teams.
  • Translate business objectives into clear technical deliverables and milestones.
  • Track and communicate progress to senior stakeholders, surfacing roadblocks, trade-offs, and resourcing gaps as needed.
  • Develop and operationalize scalable program management practices across the GTM tooling portfolio.
  • Facilitate global coordination across time zones to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Influence broader systems architecture by representing the needs of GTM teams in technical planning forums.

You Have

  • 8+ years of experience in technical program or delivery management roles, preferably in fintech or regulated industries
  • Experience driving large-scale programs across multiple stakeholders and technical systems.
  • Technical acumen, with experience working with software engineering teams on systems design and architecture.
  • Experience building and managing roadmaps for platform or systems programs, especially GTM, RevOps, or CRM-related tooling (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, and internal build tools).
  • Ability to synthesize complexity for a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without direct authority.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving clarity and momentum in fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices, APIs, data infrastructure, and common GTM tech stacks.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams.
