By scraping proprietary material without compensation, generative AI undermines key revenue streams—such as ad revenue, subscriptions, and licensing agreements—that sustain high-quality and original content creation.

ProRata was founded in 2024 by Bill Gross at Idealab Studio with a mission to ensure that generative AI platforms fairly credit and compensate content owners for their contributions. Our groundbreaking technology enables generative AI platforms to attribute sources and share revenue on a per-use basis, protecting creators, fostering sustainable journalism, and promoting the integrity of AI-generated content.

Role:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) who is dedicated to the success of our publisher partners (content creators). Your primary goal will be to ensure the successful and timely delivery of ProRata services by deeply understanding the technical needs of our partners and tailoring solutions to meet those needs. You will leverage your technical expertise to provide comprehensive guidance, enabling publishers to fully utilize our system capabilities. Additionally, you will influence our product strategy to maintain high satisfaction levels among our partners. As a key liaison, you will be the bridge between ProRata’s engineering team, publisher partners, and business stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless communication.

Responsibilities:

Engage with technical teams and leadership within publisher organizations, fostering strong relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their needs and building trust.

Educate partners on product features and best practices, guiding them through the strategic and technical aspects of their transformation journey to AI.

Develop technical roadmaps, manage timelines and migration goals, and lead the implementation of ProRata services.

Monitor customer health, track key performance indicators (KPIs), conduct regular project reviews, and proactively identify potential risks to ensure account retention.

Partner with business stakeholders and engineering within ProRata, advocating for publisher needs, overcoming blockers, driving new feature development, and leading multiple workstreams to maintain customer momentum.

Support the sales process by providing technical expertise during pre-sales discussions and assisting with proposal development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

8+ years of experience, including customer-facing role, working with stakeholders, driving customer technical implementations, or transformation programs.

Experience supporting customers in large-scale technical projects (e.g., launch or capacity planning, product release management), technical support, escalation management, or IT consulting.

Understanding of IT operations, database systems, networking, IT security, application development, service architecture, cloud-native application development, hosted services, storage systems, or content delivery networks.

Ability to develop a deep understanding of ProRata’s AI systems, products, and technical architecture.

Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving abilities to address client concerns effectively.

Experience working with digital content publishers is ideal.

Work Environment:

Location: This position is Onsite. This role is based at our Bellevue WA office location, and employees are expected to work on-site during regular business hours.

Compensation:

The compensation for this position will be competitive and commensurate with experience. The estimated salary range for this role is 160,000 - 200,000 USD.
