Wood, are hiring a Technical Manager - Production Optimization to start-up and grow a service offering, focused on helping Oil and Gas companies to incrementally improve production, and over time maximize their returns on operating assets.
The Technical Manager - Production Optimization will lead the development of the service in the Americas, the role will be dedicated to finding opportunities to improve production from our client’s facilities, working with client stakeholders to build a case for action, and closing sales of our production improvement services.
The service would be underpinned by an effective and thorough process for finding and capitalizing on opportunities to improve production. These might include increasing throughput, reducing energy use and emissions, increasing the commercial value of the products or reducing costs. The role would also be responsible for leading development of the process within Wood.
- Lead the development of a Wood production improvement process that builds on best practice approaches, including stakeholder engagement through workshops and calibrated production modelling
- Spearhead client engagement and facilitate sales of our production improvement services. The sales process will include working with clients to identify opportunities at their facilities and build a compelling case for action
- Foster client loyalty and drive business growth
- Ensure that production improvement engagements are delivered to schedule, budget and quality expectations
- Meet sales and utilization expectations
- Forecast and report business performance
- Lead recruitment of the production optimization team in-line with revenue growth
- Personnel management responsibilities as the service line grows
Candidates should have at least 15 years' experience that has included responsibility for production at an operating asset in the oil and gas industry, and direct client interaction.
- A results-oriented and empathetic individual who can deliver effective production improvement engagements, including effective facilitation of workshops
- Practical and analytical skills to craft compelling cases for action and high-value work scopes
- A minimum of 15 years' experience in roles that have involved responsibility for production at an operating asset and direct client interaction. A track record of working with both large-scale enterprises and mid-market operators in the energy sectors is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships
- An empathetic and positive approach, coupled with a genuine interest in understanding and addressing client needs to help them achieve their objectives
- An adaptable mindset, capable of operating effectively amidst uncertainty and change
- Self-driven, enthusiastic, and equipped with a proactive attitude
- Proficiency in using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for persuasive communication
