We are seeking a Technical Content Writer to create and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation that focuses on Linux command-line concepts, product functionality, troubleshooting, and best practices, supporting internal teams and customers. Your work will include authoring step-by-step tutorials, developing SOPs and compliance documentation, and utilizing AI-driven content and SEO strategies to improve content visibility and self-service capabilities.

Collaboration with stakeholders and analysis of customer feedback will guide your content strategy, while you also support the development of supplemental learning assets such as videos and assessments. You will champion the continuous improvement of content quality and processes.

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.

  • Create and maintain clear, accurate documentation on product functionality, troubleshooting, procedures, and best practices through research and collaboration.  

  • Translate Linux CLI concepts and commands into concise, jargon-free instructions for internal teams and customers.  

  • Author step-by-step tutorials covering file system management, service troubleshooting, log analysis, firewall setup, etc.  

  • Develop SOPs and compliance documentation related to security, incident management, and data privacy in partnership with leadership.  

  •  Utilize AI-driven content optimization and SEO best practices to enhance content visibility and effectiveness.

  • Identify and fill content gaps to improve self-service and reduce support needs.  

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to stay current on product developments and technologies.

  • Analyze customer feedback and usage metrics to guide content strategy aligned with business goals.

  • Support creation of supplemental learning assets like video tutorials, labs, and assessments. 

  • Advocate for continuous improvement in content quality and processes.

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed.

  • Subject matter expert in relevant tools, processes, and products, with experience authoring or editing content in a technical environment.

  • Self-motivated, accountable team player who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 5 Whys) and the ability to explore “what-if” scenarios.

  • Data-informed thinker who can identify trends in customer behavior and search usage and communicate insights to senior stakeholders.

  • Excellent written communication skills in English, with a strong attention to detail.

  • Experience in a customer success–focused environment.

  • Familiarity with knowledge and content management systems such as Pega, Confluence, and Atlassian Suite.

  • Solid understanding of web standards, including HTML, CSS, and SEO best practices.

  • Familiarity with visual and multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Snagit); video creation or editing experience is a plus.

Required Qualifications / Technical Skills

  • Prior experience in a web hosting or data center environment.

  • Linux Proficiency: Hands-on experience working in Linux environments, with preference for RHEL, Fedora, or CentOS. Candidates should be comfortable reading and writing Bash commands and have a solid understanding of file permissions, process management (e.g., top, ps), and basic networking tools such as netstat, dig, and ip. While development experience is not required, functional system-level knowledge is essential.

  • Command-Line Interface (CLI) Expertise: Ability to accurately capture, interpret, and format command-line output for use in clear, user-facing technical documentation.

Writing & Policy Skills

  • Process and Compliance Documentation: Proven experience creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, or compliance-related documentation.
