Job Description: Equipment Inspector for Utility Scale Solar Farm

 

Location: Ridgeley, Tennessee

 

Position: Equipment Inspector

 

Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Equipment Inspector to join our team for the construction of a utility-scale solar farm in Ridgeley, Tennessee. The inspector will be responsible for inspecting delivered equipment, documenting findings using an iPad, and ensuring that all materials meet project specifications and quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and verify the condition and quantity of delivered equipment and materials for the solar farm.
  • Use an iPad to take clear and detailed photos of equipment and any identified issues.
  • Collect and record data on equipment conditions, including any damages or discrepancies, using specified software on the iPad.
  • Communicate findings with the project management team promptly.
  • Ensure all inspections are conducted in accordance with safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with inventory management by tracking received and inspected items.
  • Report any non-conformities and collaborate with suppliers and contractors to resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in construction, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in equipment inspection, quality control, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using an iPad and data collection software.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and quality standards in the construction industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
  • Valid driver's license required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record).
  • Personal credit sufficient to charge business travel expenses of up to $3,000 required.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.

While performing Onsite / Field Assessor duties, the employee is required to:

  • Travel by Plane, Motor Vehicle, Train (90% of workweek) to client sites across the U.S. On-sites can occur up to two continuous weeks at a time; travel and on-site work is anticipated and expect
