Location: Remote, United States/Canada
Thunder is seeking a Contract Salesforce Technical Architect to lead the technical design and delivery of a complex, high-visibility implementation centered on Salesforce Media Cloud. This project requires part-time availability (maximum) and a high degree of technical leadership to harmonize Media Cloud with a broader Salesforce ecosystem.As the Technical Architect, you will be the primary authority on leveraging the Media Cloud data model to drive business transformation. You will work closely with Thunder teammates and client stakeholders to ensure a scalable, industry-aligned architecture that governs everything from ad sales and subscriber management to complex integrations.

Thunder is seeking a Contract Salesforce Technical Architect to lead the technical design and delivery of a complex, high-visibility implementation centered on Salesforce Media Cloud. This project requires part-time availability (maximum) and a high degree of technical leadership to harmonize Media Cloud with a broader Salesforce ecosystem.As the Technical Architect, you will be the primary authority on leveraging the Media Cloud data model to drive business transformation. You will work closely with Thunder teammates and client stakeholders to ensure a scalable, industry-aligned architecture that governs everything from ad sales and subscriber management to complex integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Media Cloud Architecture: Define the end-to-end technical vision with a focus on Salesforce Media Cloud, ensuring seamless interoperability with other Salesforce clouds.
- Industry-Specific Solutioning: Translate complex media business needs (e.g., ad sales, subscription lifecycles, or content metadata) into scalable, secure, and integrated Salesforce solutions.
- Technical Governance: Support design and decision-making for all integrations, development methodology, and platform governance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead technical discovery, workshops, and system demos for client stakeholders, acting as the subject matter expert on Media Cloud capabilities vs. custom code.
- Execution & Oversight: Oversee technical execution, reviewing development tasks and ensuring deliverables meet both industry standards and business requirements.
- Mentorship & Quality: Serve as a technical mentor to offshore/nearshore team members; ensure all technical documentation and knowledge transfer align with Thunder’s quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 7-10+ years of technical consulting and Salesforce architecture experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience specifically with Salesforce Media Cloud (formerly Vlocity Media) or Salesforce Industries.
- Deep Technical Proficiency in:
- OmniStudio (OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards).
- Media Cloud Data Model and Industries CPQ.
- Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and advanced Flow.
- Strong experience with API-led connectivity and complex data modeling for large-scale media enterprises.
- Exceptional ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and lead design decisions in a remote, cross-functional environment.
- Preferred Certifications:
- Salesforce Certified Media Cloud Consultant (Highly Preferred)
- Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Developer / Consultant
- Salesforce Certified Application or System Architect
- Marketing Cloud or Loyalty Cloud certifications are a significant plus
