Technical Aide

Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

Provide back up for Traffic Director by compiling, editing, exporting and reconciling daily logs for WKAR's television channels. (HD, Kids 24/7, World, Create, and Michigan Learning Channel)  Submit information for underwriters to run in Local on National and PBS Kids Streaming using AIMS, Box and digital support via PBS. Send out programs to other PBS stations via sIX.  Be able to support in order entry and copy when needed.  

Desired Qualifications

Previous experience in television traffic, preferably in public media.  Experience with Myers ProTrack is essential. Must be flexible, self-motivated and organized.
