About the role

Wood is searching for an experienced Technical Advisor – Oil & Gas Studies to support current projects for the Oil and Gas Studies services across our Americas region based in our Houston, TX Consulting office. The key objective for Oil & Gas Studies team is to win and execute studies such as due diligence, technology, feasibility, concept select and pre-FEED. The chosen candidate will support this objective and provide inputs towards advising clients, investors, and asset owners in making the right investment decisions for their projects or assets within the Upstream and Midstream markets. 

 

This is a contract (on call) position, with an expected duration of 12 months. Due to the nature of the position, we will consider only US citizens, or those who are authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide advisory input towards strategy for winning prospective opportunities within Oil & Gas Studies
  • Provide technical guidance to support successful delivery of Studies in line with Scope of Work and client expectations.
  • Support the Oil & Gas Studies Team in adopting the early project development mindset

Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering. 
  • 25+ years of experience in oil & gas upstream industry preferably within an engineering consulting organization with extensive focus on leading and executing front-end studies.
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with major project stage gate processes
  • Demonstrated understanding of business, industry and client drivers
  • US citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
