The Global Payments team is building a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all ByteDance's products and services, such as TikTok, Helo, Games, Education, etc.

The Payment Solutions team in Global Payments focuses on solving the problems of collaboration efficiency and service satisfaction due to timezone differences, language, etc. Through an in-depth understanding of business characteristics and implementation processes, proactively and regularly dig out customer technical pain points and demands, create global payment-specific and globally consistent products and solutions, reduce customer understanding and access costs, and improve user experience.

We are looking for a seasoned tech lead manager to lead the payment product development. You will have the opportunity to partner closely with globalized engineering and product teams in a high-impact and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in the payment solution product feature development, to provide the best payment experience to billions of users
- Manage project priorities and product deliverables, drive technical initiatives from execution to landing
- Partner with cross-function teams, e.g. PM, QA, BP, to drive product vision and engineering roadmap
- Team management, including hiring, providing career growth guidance, coaching and training

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline with more than 5 years of working experience
Experience in building modern payment systems, familiar with social networks and creator monetization
- Proficient in one or multiple programming languages, e.g. Go, C/C++, Java, Python, etc.
- Experience in distributed systems, backend API development, and related fields
- Good product sense, experience in building large-scale consumer-facing product
- Excellent communication and collaboration

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $210000 - $358000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
