Job Purpose:

Maintain safety and well-being of all residents. Help implement the plan of care established by the resident and their care team. Plan an active role in residents meeting their goals. Maintaining all required documentation.

Job Summary: (General Statement of Duties)

Team Support Specialists are the primary support providers to our residents, offering emotional support and helping them achieve and maintain their highest level of independence. This is accomplished by supporting their individualized goals through our work team activities, group therapies, and engagement in social activities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid drivers license

Skills and Knowledge:

Provided training:

  • MDHHS “Providing Residential Services in Community Settings” training (within 30 days)
  • CPR / First Aid / AED training (within 30 days and biannually)
  • Office of Recipient Rights training (within 30 days and annually)
  • Campus Safety Tour (within 30 days and annually)
  • Medication Administration training (within 60 days)
  • CPI (within 60 days and annually)
