What You'll Do
As a Team Leader – Associate, you will work in partnership with Branch leadership to grow sales, manage operations, and deliver high-quality projects. You’ll provide senior-level project leadership while supporting business development and team performance.
Project & Client Leadership
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients.
- Prepare proposals, project budgets, and man-hour forecasts.
- Negotiate scope of work, fees, and contract terms.
- Provide project-specific leadership as Principal-in-Charge.
- Manage project quality, financial performance, and profitability.
- Handle complex or sensitive client situations.
Technical Oversight
- Assess project technical requirements and define overall approach.
- Lead design reviews, commissioning planning, and engineering quality control.
- Delegate tasks appropriately while maintaining oversight of deliverables.
- Ensure projects meet EEI standards for quality and performance.
Business Development & Operations
- Identify opportunities for additional services with existing clients.
- Support responses to RFPs and RFQs.
- Assist Branch leadership in developing new client relationships.
- Support operational efficiency and process improvements.
- Supervise engineers, field personnel, and technical staff as assigned.
What You'll Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline (experience may substitute).
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with emphasis on HVAC and controls.
- Demonstrated success managing projects from scoping through delivery.
- Strong financial and budgeting acumen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to travel locally and out-of-state as needed.
- Ability to perform field work on construction sites and in existing facilities.
Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Relevant certifications (LEED AP, AABC, NEBB, TABB, BCxA).
- Experience in commissioning, energy auditing, MEP design, controls, energy modeling, or related fields.
