Team Lead Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Team Leader supports the Supervisor in coordinating and controlling departmental activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Conduct machine calibration, alignment, and adjustments to maintain accuracy and reliability.

• Diagnose issues with PLCs, motors, drives, and control systems.

• Respond to production breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.

• Assist with the installation and setup of new CNC equipment.

• Document all maintenance activities in the CMMS system.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance.

• Adhere to all safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and OSHA regulations.

• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and supervisors to resolve equipment issues.

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree preferred).

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (CNC strongly preferred).

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

• Proficient with precision measuring tools and diagnostic equipment.

• Familiarity with CMMS systems for logging maintenance activities.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

• Ability to work overtime or flexible shifts as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and manual handling.

• Ability to work in noisy, industrial environments with proper PPE.

• Enforce Injury & Illness Prevention and Hazard Communication Programs.

• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and noise (PPE required).

• Safety glasses and long sleeves are required in designated areas.
